BRON vs Legora · For litigation firms

Compare what happens after the client replies.

For US commercial litigation firms with 10–100 lawyers, BRON connects the client's request and response to evidence, drafting and attorney review. Compare it with Legora on the same assignment: find the missing notice email and prepare the work that depends on it.

Client work

BRON: The request says what the firm needs and why. The client can provide it, ask a question or explain why they cannot. Reminders depend on firm enablement. Clients can ask AI about shared material; legal questions go to their lawyer. A receipt records arrival, not attorney review.

Legora: Legora Portal lets clients query shared documents with cited answers, run firm workflows and coauthor documents. Firms control what they share. The page states no guest license is required.

Ask in the demo: Give the client the same missing-email request. Inspect what they see, how they answer and how the lawyer follows up.

Plan the work

BRON: The lawyer uses Chambers to examine the matter and direct work. Desk organizes an assignment into stages, with the expected result, people and sources. People start supported workflows and review proposed actions; moving between these surfaces does not start work automatically.

Legora: Legora Workflows connects review, research, drafting, extraction, database search and custom tools. Lawyers can build workflows using reference documents and firm standards, then share them with the team.

Ask in the demo: Assign a notice analysis. Show the plan, source material, review points and what happens when a required document is missing.

Follow up after a change

BRON: When an attorney accepts a fact correction, BRON flags work that recorded reliance on that fact and creates review tasks. The text stays unchanged. Work without that recorded dependency is outside this claim.

Legora: Legora Lists keeps structured items with source references, assignees and status. Teams can update items, assign outstanding work and keep an activity trail for sign-off. This describes its published review mechanism, not a limit on its other capabilities.

Ask in the demo: Change the witness account. Find the affected work, identify who reviews it and record their decision.

Prepare the next draft

BRON: Prepare a draft from the matter's material, inspect its sources and bring the proposed work to the attorney. The lawyer decides what to approve, send or file. Source checks do not replace research subscriptions or a citator.

Legora: Legora Editor turns analysis and research into drafts with citations to underlying data. It supports live collaboration, accept-or-reject refinements and export to Word using house styles.

Ask in the demo: Prepare the same memorandum. Open the sources, resolve a disputed statement and export the version the reviewing lawyer approved.

Work in Word

BRON: BRON's attorney workflow runs in the browser. Its Word add-in is in development. Start with a supported browser assignment and keep the document tools the firm needs.

Legora: Legora publishes drafting, redlining and review inside Microsoft Word, with citations and configurable playbooks. Confirm the features and access included in your proposal.

Ask in the demo: If the team must work inside Word, test the required task in that host before choosing a rollout.

Follow the response through the next assignment.

In BRON, examine how the client's answer becomes material the lawyer can use in a directed assignment. In Legora, examine how Portal, Workflows, Lists and Editor support that same work. Keep the request, the proposed draft and the review decisions from each demonstration.

Choose by the work you need

Start with the result
you need to buy.

BRON and Legora overlap in parts of the work. Your decision depends on the whole assignment, the tools already in place and the result your lawyers can use. These are starting points for evaluation.

  • BRON

Client requests, evidence and the next review

Evaluate one litigation assignment across the client response, accepted collection scope, reviewed evidence, drafting and Desk workflow.

Begin with a fictional demonstration. Agree a limited pilot and its supported scope before using client material.

  • Legora

Client AI collaboration and configurable legal workflows

Portal, Workflows, source-linked Lists, collaborative Editor and a published Word add-in.

Confirm your firm's required workflow, package and commercial terms.

  • Alongside your existing tools

A workflow first. A wider decision later.

Keep the systems your firm depends on while testing a specific assignment. Name the tools, transfers, owners and review steps involved.

Confirm each supported connection. A pilot is not a promise of complete replacement or automatic synchronization.

One assignment, two product demonstrations

Start with the email neither witness brought.

In North Harbor, Garcia says the supplier knew of the defect before May 4. Smith says it learned afterward. Neither account settles when written notice arrived.

Alex Chen prepares memorandum v3 and a proposed request for Elena Rivera. The partner can inspect both accounts before asking for the original email and meeting notes. Her review is still pending.

Ask each vendor to show that assignment from the client's view and the reviewing lawyer's view. Look for the source of a statement, the missing material and the decision still needed.

From client response to legal work

The client can move the notice question forward.

Elena Rivera's request names the email, attachments and meeting notes. It explains that they could show when the supplier learned of the defect. Garcia can send the material, ask for clarification or explain why he cannot find it. Unanswered requests can receive reminders when the firm enables them.

In the fictional example, the original email and its attachment return. The meeting notes remain missing from the named sources. Elena Rivera reviews what arrived before deciding how it changes the analysis.

Accept the collection scope

For material on Garcia's Mac, the firm's request names Apple Mail and one folder. Collector copies only the named sources after he accepts, and he can pause. Mac collection has limited availability and requires macOS 15 or later.

Read the receipt, then review

The receipt records what arrived. It does not say an attorney reviewed it or that the record is complete. Material not found in the named sources stays an open question for the firm.

Carry the source into the work

The lawyer directs the next assignment in Chambers. Desk keeps its stages, people, expected result and sources together. Drafts go to attorney review. An accepted fact correction flags work with recorded reliance for review; it does not rewrite the text.

Fit, adoption and pricing

Start beside the tools your firm uses.

BRON connects work from the first inquiry through discovery, drafting and settlement or trial. Start with one supported assignment and a named reviewing lawyer. Trial, valuation and money workflows have limited availability; confirm the capabilities your proposed pilot needs.

A bounded first assignment

Use the fictional demo to inspect the request, returned material and attorney review. Then agree pilot access, setup, imports and export requirements. Keep your document tools, research subscriptions and citator while assessing the work.

A written proposal

Ask both vendors to scope the same users, assignments, implementation and support. BRON has no public rate card. Scope and pricing are agreed in writing before the pilot.

Know the fit before choosing a pilot.

Is BRON a Legora alternative for a commercial litigation firm?

Evaluate BRON if a 10–100 lawyer US firm wants to connect client requests, evidence and manageable legal assignments on the matter. Evaluate Legora for its published client AI Portal, configurable workflows, collaborative drafting and Word add-in. Give both products the same assignment and assess the client experience, sources and attorney review.

Does Legora have client AI and multi-step workflows?

Yes. Legora's Portal page describes cited questions over shared documents, client-run firm workflows and live collaboration. Its Workflows page describes connected research, review, drafting and other tools. BRON also lets clients ask AI about shared material. Client AI and multi-step work are not exclusive BRON claims.

How can we try BRON?

Start with a guided demo using a fictional matter. A limited pilot follows once the assignment, supported capabilities, setup and terms are agreed. BRON has never been tested on a live matter. Choose one supported assignment alongside your current tools before deciding whether to expand.

How do BRON and Legora pricing compare?

Request written proposals for the same users and work, including implementation, research access, support, retention and export terms. BRON does not publish a rate card; scope and pricing are agreed in writing. This page does not establish a price advantage or report Legora prices or seat minimums.

Do we need to replace our current systems?

Begin alongside the tools your firm already uses. Agree which documents, sources and history the pilot needs and what can be exported. Keep required research subscriptions and your citator. BRON offers no automated Legora migration on this page; confirm access, import and retention requirements before moving client material.
