What starting with BRON involves.

Nobody starts by moving the whole firm. You pick a workflow, see it on a fictional matter, and agree scope and terms before any client material goes in. Here's what each step involves and who does what.

Before any client material

  1. Tell us the workflow.

A few sentences: the work, who does it, and where it gets stuck.

  2. See it on a fictional matter.

We show you the closest part of BRON on North Harbor, including what it doesn't do yet.

  3. Agree the scope.

Which matters and people, what BRON handles, what stays in your current tools, and what needs setting up.

  4. Agree terms.

Commercial and data-handling terms are signed before your firm's material goes in.

Setting up your firm

  • The first account creates your firm. You set its details and its security settings.
  • You invite your team and give each person a role. BRON checks a lawyer's bar admission before adding them or assigning legal work.
  • A readiness check shows what's set up and what isn't, such as outbound email.
  • Clients join the client portal when you invite them.

Bringing in what you already have

  • Matters and contacts come in from Clio or Filevine exports, or from any tool's matter spreadsheet. BRON rebuilds the people and companies behind them, so your first conflicts check sees your history.
  • Each imported matter is labelled as screened in your previous system, and BRON runs its own conflicts check on it afterwards. An import never marks anything clear.
  • Documents come in separately. So do deadlines: a date in a spreadsheet isn't a confirmed deadline, so BRON keeps it on the matter and doesn't put it on the calendar.
  • Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, Smokeball and Filevine can also sync matters, contacts and time entries. Some connections need a one-time registration with the provider first, and we'll tell you which.

Training

We train your team on the workflow you start with, from setup to your first live matter.

If you leave

An owner or admin can export the whole firm at any time, and the preview lists anything that can't be included. Exports carry a manifest you can check without BRON.
