Historical draft; unsigned, not an independent audit or certification. Published
as a disclosure at /trust/accessibility on October 15, 2026. The evaluation remains
dated September 27, 2026 at the version below; publication does not re-evaluate it
or assert current conformance. Every rating below points at a numbered repository
source (Sources). Where no source exists, the rating is Not Evaluated.
Decided 2026-10-15 (prudent-owner default; owner may revisit): disclose this dated, unsigned self-report with all limitations and known gaps instead of withholding it pending a signature. English is the version of record; no conformance certification or new accessibility testing is implied.

Harness update (LG-S16)
Decided 2026-10-15 (prudent-owner default; owner may revisit): enable the available
WCAG 2.2 AA axe rules, explicitly opt in to target-size, and keep this ACR an
unsigned draft with no conformance claim until evaluated evidence supports it.
No new browser audit was run for this update. The historical evaluation and ratings
below are retained; changing rule selection does not change a Not Evaluated rating.
The harness policy is frontend/e2e/visual-debt/accessibilityRules.ts, pinned by
accessibilityRules.test.ts. A production browser run and manual assistive-technology
review remain necessary before making any conformance claim.

Product description
BRON LAW is software for litigation firms. It keeps a matter's drafts, citations, money and decisions on an append-only record, and it gates what may leave the firm. The web app and client portal run in a browser. The iPhone app serves attorneys and clients. BRON for Mac is the program a custodian runs on their own Mac to collect what their legal team asked for.

Notes
- BRON does not claim conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 AA is the engineering target. This report agrees with the public accessibility statement, which says the same [S1].
- How ratings were assigned. This report was prepared from the repository alone, on 2026-09-27. Nobody tested a deployed build with a screen reader, a keyboard only, zoom or a contrast tool to prepare it. A rating is:
- Supports only where code applies a mechanism across that product's surfaces (a root layout, a shared shell, a product-wide test) and no defect is recorded against it;
- Partially Supports only where the repository records a known defect against that criterion;
- Not Evaluated everywhere else. A Not Evaluated cell may still list partial evidence in its remark. That evidence covers some components, not the product.
- The recorded web check predates the expanded rules. The historical scan used WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA only [S2]. The harness now includes available 2.2 AA checks and explicitly enables target-size; no new result or rating is inferred. Criteria without an applicable automated check still require manual evaluation.
- The last recorded web scan is partial. It ran 2026-09-10 over 105 pages (85 attorney, 20 client) in one theme at one width. 98 pages loaded and were scanned. 7 did not load and are unknown, among them the matter canvas. The scan found 8 serious or critical nodes across 6 pages [S1]. Its full results are not committed. The results file in the repo holds a later single-route run [S1a].
- Native apps. For the iPhone app and BRON for Mac, the criteria are read as WCAG2ICT applies them to non-web software. No test renders a native view: there is no XCUITest target and no
performAccessibilityAudit[S23]. The native evidence is source-level contract tests. - AAA criteria were not evaluated and are omitted.
- Third-party and imported content is out of scope: court forms, opposing-party productions, scanned exhibits and embedded third-party tools [S1].
Evaluation methods used
- Reading the source and its contract tests in the repository at the commit above.
- Reading the public accessibility statement [S1] and the recorded known gaps.
- The axe run described in [S1], through
frontend/e2e/visual-debt/audit.spec.ts[S2]. It was not re-run for this report. - No assistive-technology testing. No manual audit of a deployed build.

| 2.4.7 Focus Visible | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Web and Portal: the shared button and input draw a focus-visible ring [S9]. Components that do not use them are not checked. |
| 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | New in 2.2; requires manual evaluation [S1][S2]. No scroll padding for sticky headers found. |
| 2.5.7 Dragging Movements | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Partially Supports | Not Evaluated | iPhone: known defect: slide-to-confirm, used on attorney approval and review screens, confirms only by drag; its non-drag path is an accessibility action reachable through VoiceOver, Switch Control or Voice Control, with no plain tap alternative [S29]. Web: possible defect in the project explorer's drag-to-move [S18]. Portal: signatures can be typed [S19]. Mac: the "Not listed?" help tells the custodian to drag BRON Helper into macOS's Full Disk Access list; that list is macOS's own screen [S36]. |
| 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Web and Portal: buttons, selects, summary and interactive roles have a 24px minimum height, pinned [S8]; width is not enforced, and the harness now enables target-size, with no new run claimed [S1][S2]. | 3.3.3 Error Suggestion | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | No evidence. |
| 3.3.4 Error Prevention (Legal, Financial, Data) | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Web: outbound and irreversible actions refuse to run until the attorney confirms, server-side [S39]. Mac: a scope takes effect only on the custodian's explicit acceptance, and a widening waits for a new one [S42]. Neither is assessed against every submission the criterion covers. |
| 3.3.8 Accessible Authentication (Minimum) | Not Evaluated | Supports | Supports | Not Evaluated | Portal: sign-in offers a passkey, a password field with autocomplete, and an emailed code with autocomplete="one-time-code" [S13]; no CAPTCHA in the frontend source [S13]. iPhone: sign-in offers a passkey, an email code and password autofill [S30]; no CAPTCHA in the iOS source [S13]. | 4.1.3 Status Messages | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Not Evaluated | Web: Today has at least two polite status regions, pinned [S21]. iPhone: announcements in the phone collection flow are pinned [S28]. Mac: VoiceOver announces each setup step change, pinned [S35]. |
Table 3: Success Criteria, Level AAA
Not evaluated.
Known gaps
These are recorded in the repository and are open as of this draft:
- Form fields with no label on the firm settings page (two inputs, one select) and the templates settings page (one input). Critical [S1].
- Amber status text below the contrast threshold, in three places on the AI vendor and feature-flag settings pages. Serious [S1].
- An ARIA role missing its required children on the tabular review page. Critical [S1].
- An ARIA attribute on an element not permitted to own it, on the attorney Today page. Serious [S1].
- Seven pages were not scanned in the last recorded run, among them the matter canvas. Their state is unknown [S1].
- The dark theme and the narrower widths have not been scanned since. The 390px baseline covers 18 routes [S1].
- The full accessibility lint rule set runs on 10 files, not the app [S3].
- 114 off-scale font sizes across 27 files, measured 2026-09-15 [S1].
- No skip link in the attorney app or the client portal [S1][S16].
- The expanded WCAG 2.2 AA checks have not yet been run; the historical scan does not evaluate them [S2].
- The attorney sign-in email and password fields carry no
autocompleteattribute [S13]. - iPhone slide-to-confirm has no plain tap alternative to the drag [S29].
- No native accessibility test renders a view: no XCUITest target, no
performAccessibilityAudit[S23]. VoiceOver and Dynamic Type validation on iPhone are open items [S31], and the iPhone collector device checklist, which includes VoiceOver and largest-text checks, has not been run [S31]. - BRON for Mac runs three setup animations without a Reduce Motion check [S36].
- The Spanish text in BRON for Mac and the client portal's Spanish are machine-assisted translations, pending review by a qualified translator [S37].
- The portal idle sign-out warning has no test [S14].
